When and how did you become a couple?

We met back in 1939 in Kenosha, WI, where I was running a dry cleaning business. I remember seeing her for the first time. What a LOOKER! She was sitting at a table at Travanti's Cafe having a strawberry milkshake with her friends. I was so struck that, even though I didn't normally do things like this, I walked right over to the table, sat down across from her, stuck a straw in her milkshake and started drinking it with her. Luckily, she didn't hit me. Her and her friends started to laugh, and I knew I was in.

Six months later, we got married.

Why you are the “Most Romantic Senior Couple”?

We're the most romantic couple because even after almost 70 years of marriage, we still keep up the important things. Every night, after we get ready for bed, the last thing we do is kiss each other, and the last words out of our mouth are "I love you". And the first words out of our mouth in the morning are "I love you."

Plus, we're just so darn cute together. Especially when we dress in the same jogging outfits, which we do quite often. Oh, and we are great dancers too.
