Cultural Exchange
The romantic story of Dr. Marvin Silverman ( 59 ) and Marvin Silverman ( 65 )
Location
Hollywood, FL
When and how did you become a couple?
We met working at the same psychology office in 1979. I was a beginning therapist, she was office manager. We became friends first. The friendship blossomed and we found that we both respected the other's right to be an individual. This includes being able to have opposite political views, one of us being outgoing, the other ore reserved, and both being flexible enough to appreciate and allow for each other's idiosyncrasies and differences.
Why you are the “Most Romantic Senior Couple”?
Romance for us is mutual respect and appreciation. If anything exciting happens, we are immediately contacting each other on the phone. I (man) am Jewish, she is Catholic. I am American born, she is Cuban-born. I love Latin music, food, and culture. She is fascinated with Judaism and will never miss any movie with Jewish themes. I love to travel with her to Latin American countries and appreciate the culture and language. She teaches me Spanish, I help her improve her English. She loves to travel to places like Germany and learn about the holocaust, and I like to learn about the history of her ancestors from Spain to Cuba. Mutual respect appreciation is our special kind iof romance. Rate this Story:
