To Love Is To Remember
The romantic story of Ross ( 68 ) and Lynn ( 67 )

Location
Chicago, Il

When and how did you become a couple?
When and how did you become a couple: Our relationship began as a "fix-up" between 'her" roommate Sue, who was an old high school friend of mine. I wasn't crazy about the logistics of having to travel from one side of the city to the other, but Sue assured me it would be worth it. And indeed it was. We were engaged after 6 months of dating, married after another 6 months, with Sue being in our wedding party. Oh, what a blissful 45 years it's been. After 3 children and 8 grandchildren, we still talk about how lucky we were to both have known Sue. Sadly Sue died a tragic, untimely death that left us devastated, but she is remembered by our naming a child in her memory. Whenever we have a disagreement in our marriage, we pause to remember how fortunate we are to be together, still in love, and so sorry for the argument. But then "loving is never having to say 'I'm sorry'", not with words, but more with deeds. Sue, thank you for knowing---both of us. And to my wife, may we still be together another 120 years.

Why you are the “Most Romantic Senior Couple”?
Each night our prayers include "If love may only by regained in dreams, then how I wish for sleep to come."
